Dr. Zia Hassan began his career in 1992 from a nationally recognized facility Shaikh Zayed Hospital and Federal Post Graduate Medical Institute Lahore. In 1994, Dr. Hassan joined Sports care specialist Physiotherapy Company large multi-disciplinary Rehabilitation Centre in Michigan USA. With a thirst to learn and a continuous improvement mindset, Dr. Hassan prides himself on possessing a broad range of skills and techniques to best treat his patients, which range from infants to all ages. In addition to being a Board certified physiotherapist, he is a certified practitioner of pediatric in state of New York, having obtained his certification with the State University of New York and Department of early intervention for children expertise in Peabody motor scale assessment for children. He has also trained in developmental disabilities and orthopedic post-operative rehabilitation and has successfully treated hundreds of patients over the past 24 years who suffer from developmental dysfunctions, total hip or knee replacements, and Traumatic Brain and Spinal cord injuries. Skilled assessment and establishing functional goals according to injury lesion level of the spinal cord. Dr. Hassan also worked as a consulting physiotherapist for the children in the New York Board of Education from the year 2000 to 2006. In 2009, Dr. Hassan also completed his board certification with the state of Michigan USA.
Dr. Zia Hassan has experience treating individuals of all ages and has helped patients suffering from a wide range of ailments including sports injuries, post-surgical restrictions, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, establishing functional goals for homebound patients and acute or chronic pain. He enjoys the challenge of helping his patients maximize their function and optimize their quality of life.
